Sorry if this is in the wrong forum,(feel free to move if needed) I just thought I would use this as a starting point since I am a real noob when it comes to the whole scanning world..
I got this scanner for free, obviously from the 70's. But hey if it works, then profit for me.
It has numbers 1-8 with toggle switches and a scan/manual switch (im sure most of you pros already know

I live in Pavilion Township, Between Vicksburg and Portage and am just wondering how/if i can program this thing for my area. Right now i just have all toggle switches up and just scanning and have been able to pick up what sounds like Portage/Kzoo Dispatch, but the calls have been few and far between today. All have shown up on toggle 8 if that means anything..
Anything you can do to point me in the right direction would be appreciated, and I look forward to venturing into the hobby.
