I noticed that too. They probably tried to cash the check for the new system and it bounced, spent to much money on State ave and 78th st. south to I-70, real buss stops and all.

They work when they have to. Sunday morning is usually a slow time for the radio traffic. Everyone is just going to press their home button until the radio beeps, done deal. If all goes as planned the tecs will need to do nothing, flip a main switch?

As of 2335 hours, the KCK control channels are back up and running. I'm fixing to crash out, so we'll see how this goes tomorrow AM.

Gotcha. If they're streaming Narc-Vice stuff, that's definitely against broadcastify TOS and should be reported. Last thing we need is for KCMO to follow suit with some of these other agencies. At least they only use encryption when they need it (which seems like the most sensible approach). Lets not give them any reasons to change that.

BTW...all off the KCK P25 control channels are offline. Wonder if the techs found unexpected "issues" or if they'll just turn them back on when everyone switches tomorrow AM.

I noticed that too, they have been off since about 10 am Saturday morning.

I can only imagine the traffic you guys get to monitor over there, hope it stays in the clear. Sometimes the highlight of my monitoring is listening to officers & dispatchers dealing with cattle on the road... Whose they are, the officers frustration when they don't go where they trying to corral them, etc!

Change over will begin at 1015 hours. They just sent out fleet-wide tones basically telling everyone to "shut up" while the switch is in progress.

10:33-switch is completed. As expected, all primary law dispatch talkgroups are encrypted.

I'm hearing someone talk on 37112. It sounds like they are talking about setting things up at certain locations.

Are you on a Uniden? GRE would open you up to all the encrypted noise taking place. Not really a bonus other then to know its there. And it's definitely there.

That's unfortunate about the crypto. Far cry from (rolling) speech inversion...

I'm using a BCT996XT but I don't see it passing by encrypted traffic. Usually you can tell when it's detected and moves on.

I had about 30+ TGs ID'd a few weeks ago and never got around to posting it. Guess I should get on it.

While in scan mode press hold. It will hold on the control channel. It will cycle through the current used TGIDs. The ENC information is not displayed though. Just a quite overview of what is being used. No signal here.

Anyone have 31410 in their TG list as to who it is?

This one is showing up in the WyCo part of the MARRS system.

Appears to be coming from a KCK Fire Dispatch console ID.

31410 is a station alerting tg, I believe. Still trying to pin that one down.
Here's what I have for the other stations:
37017-Station 2 tone-out (not fire tac-2 as previously thought)
37036 Station 10 tone-out
37040-Station 14 Tone out
37042-Station 16 tone-out
37045-Station 19 tone-out
