• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Got a few tonight but a lot of QRN on 20,40, and 80 I will try again tomorrow.
Glad to hear it. I'm so close by that nearly all of the HF traffic is skipping over me, but I can easily hear the pile-ups coming in. The people putting on this SES are getting onto the 2m repeaters so that some of the local folks can log a few too, and that's much appreciated. So far, I've bagged three without any trouble.

I think I contacted maybe 6? Got one tonight then I hear him say only three minutes left so needless to say I didn't get my clean sweep and I think band conditions were better tonight. As far as QSL cards go will they let us get one anyway even if we didn't contact all fourteen I think?

It's hard to tell from the log/qsl page ( Page 9), but yeah, it seems likely.

FWIW I bagged 5, including two HF's operating on 40 & 80m. The other 3 were via 2m repeaters. Definitely an anniversary worth marking, I'm glad these folks put on this SES, and I hope they do it again next year.
