Hear, hear. At 17 I had a 10 year old scanner and a 15 year old CB with a D104 mike and I thought I was cool. You've got a great set up.

I have a D104 myself. One of those Golden Eagle ones. I thought about making a converter for it to my IC-706 but about 20 people told me not to waste my time. For now, I am just displaying it on the counter...

jeez, as a teenager (18) myself, i can bearly afford scanning, let alone ham equipment!!! is there another ham in your family or do you just slowly save up? or do you have a job?

slooooowly save up. ham's also are very generous people with their old equipment. That's how I got started
