Thank you very much. I have relatives that live there and I've programmed the frequencies in logical channel order, but the ID's I have are either outdated or my Radio Shack PRO-2067 doesn't work very well with the system.

KC Trunked system

I recently heard that the Village of Oakview switched over from Gladstone's 800 MHz repeater to KC PD's Trunked system. Anyone know what their talk group ID's are?

What you need to do is where it says file name highlite it right click on it and copy. kc metro.txt

Click on download and then save

Where it says file name, right click on it then paste, and save it to the desktop or what ever folder you want to save it to.

YA i am still around... been keeping a low profile and updating databases.

just made the move back to kansas city this month so setting up a new radio shack will be fun!!

topeka will still be in our minds as we have family there still.

as for the file, still cant get it,
just email it me or open and post it
it is a pain to try and download a "cant find file, check back later message"
i have checked back later and tried many times today. on 4 diff machines and from work too! still no go.... :(

Yea, it will open like that for me if I use the Firefox Browser with XP . If I use the Explorer 6 browser I have to go all through the other bull. I get this when I left click in Explorer modules.php

I usually use Mozilla anyhow

To the user of a trunked system it the equivalent of a channel, not to be confused with the actual frequencies the system uses.

tnx mancow

i forgot we had a n00b here and he asked a valid question.

yes TGs can be thought of as freqs to the layman,

go here to see what trunking is and how it works:

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/wiki/index.php?title=Trunking_Basics

for more detailed info here is a list of different type of trunking and how each works:

Tnx Mancow

Thank you for the welcome and thank you for the info to read.

Without reading it which im getting ready to do let me see if my understanding of trunked systems. Basically I broadcast on x frequency and the other person broadcasts on this x frequency and so on and so on. And the talkgroup would be all of these freqs in a list for you correct?
