Hello I was wondering if their was anyone who knows what kind of scanner would be the best to monitor KCKFD or if their was anyone who could post KCK Fire thanks for the help .

You would need a P25 capable scanner to monitor KCKs fire.

Being in a simulcast area I'd favor the Uniden SDS100 (or Unication if you want KCK Fire only) if you are on the move both are expensive.

If the scanner is stationary a less expensive P25 scanner will work, it may just take a creative antenna arrangement.

True. For what it's worth (this is directed more at the OP), Ray's Pager Sales has the Unication G4 going for $545, while the SDS100 is retailing close to $649.99. The SDS200 is going for $700. The G4 is a great receiver and handles the local P25 extremely well. Just some food for thought there, Nathan.
