Kearl Lake, AB (Fluor/Husky) P25

Hey all,

I see someone has submitted a new P25 system in the DB for Kearl Lake. I gather someone up there is monitoring that. Good find. That's a huge system by the looks of the TAFL data (20 freqs).

How well is the 400MHz P25 performing? Are they in the clear or encrypted?

Of course if you can add SysID and WACN that would be handy to have.

Wow a single site 20 channel system! I guess they are expecting a whole lot of radio traffic! Heck the Edmonton EDACS system is 20 channels. May have to do some digging and see if I can figure out who put in the system.

Is this system on the air? There's no System ID or WACN listed for it, and it's been in the database for a year and a half. Anyone in the area that can check into it? Thanks.

It is in the middle of nowhere. Heck, I do a lot of travelling around Alberta, but have yet to get up there.

Yeah I noticed that on the map lol. Unfortunately, the guy who submitted the info initially hasn't been on the site in almost two years. He basically signed up for an account, submitted the system, and never came back. Oh well.

The emission codes in the station licenses from Industry Canada's TAFL site indicate those of a NEXEDGE system.
