The idea in the other thread was for you to consult with a local contact from the Kearny PD or someone else in the know. If anyone new for sure on this web site the RR DB would reflect that status. At present the RR DB shows P25 to be in use but no encryption, but that does not mean that encryption is not being used.

Kearny Police Channels 1, 2 and 3 are P25 and encrypted. As long as John Dowie is Police chief it is going to remain that way. Kearny Police also does not want even the Fire or EMS service being able communicate with them on there Police channels they have the analog fire and EMS channels for that which are 502.4625 and 502.7625 MHZ with a DPL of 023.
