Listneing to a couple of BMR Techs on Fleetnet this morning. One was sitting in downtown Kemptville testing in relation to some complaints from officers that they have a lot of problems with coverage there. Referenced an e-mail that indicated that a beat repeater would likely be the best solution since adding a site would be tres costly and take a lot of setup to balance the system. They did have a few issues with comms dropping off on digital and there was a lot of static from power lines on analog.
Interesting comment from them too when they were on digital: "I am not surprised that they have some problems since I am showing just above marginal and they don't have as good a radio as us".
