I have a TK-3180 that has the voice scrambler installed- which I never use. Removing that module and setting the Extended Function, Optional Board to "None" just renders the radio useless because when its receiving a signal, you can tell there's a carrier, but no audio comes through. And if it does, its just very low volume.
So I'm wondering if there is a "dummy card" that goes in the slot when there's no option installed, or if I am just not programming it correctly.. Replacing the card fixes everything so I'm also starting to wonder if that is even part of the scrambler at all?
