To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Thanks for your reply. I am just looking to verify the pin-out of the Molex connector, and the suggested fuse sizing. I picked up a couple of these with no power connector.

Stated fuse size is 2 amp
The best way is to remove the housing and see the colors inside,But mine are wired as follows there is 1 red and 2 black wires you only need 1 ground for charging only the other ground and white wire is for the repeater function,looking at the charger side connector only holding the charger you see 2 grooves on one side and one corner has a slant to it,groove side farthest away from slant corner is power and slant side second pin from slant is ground for charge function only,so the corner next to slant should be empty and opposite next to power should be empty,Hope this makes sense if not i will try a picture and send it to the email on qrz,John.

Ok, Thanks!
I will take a look at the unit when I get home and see if it matches. I did take it apart and trace the internal wires; I think I have it right. But internally they used the same color wires for several signals, so I just wanted a double check. Does the paper indicate the current capability of the repeater switch?

Your description matches what I traced.
Once I looked at the connector, your description made perfect sense! I went ahead and made up a connector, applied power, and when I put a radio in, it started charging.I may take one of these apart again and see if I can see what component they are using for the repeater switch. I guess I can always add a relay to enable my vehicle repeater.
