Does anyone here have any experience with the KWSA80K POC LTE device? How does it work on the Verizon network? How does it compare with the Motorola LEX L11? Thanks in advance.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Yes, it'll support Verizon.
It's sold as an "unlocked" device. Spec's show it supports the following bands:
LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B14/B20/B25/B26/B27/B28/B29/B30/B38/B39/B40/B41/B66
UMTS: B1/B2/B4/B5/B8
CDMA/EVDO: BC0/BC1/BC10
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
I've never used a LEX, so I don't can't compare them, but I did get a chance to use the 80K for a bit, and I liked it. If I wasn't so invested in my work iPhone, I'd probably give one a try.

the sonim app installer is a PITA. Wont let you load anything that is not sonim certified.
You can load the kenwood Boundless PTT app, but you can't load VIA (JPS) or the Nextel Intl. PTToC app.
Spent a week trying to work it out, sonim tech support to say nicely, is like talking to a automated VRS,
dont matter how many times you say tech support, you get the main menu.
Nice handset, no give or take on apps.
