I have not done it, but I do run a Kenwood NexEdge trunking system. From my experience setting up the system and working with repeater and radio programming, including the network side, it -should- work and be transparent.
The only thing to keep in mind is that Icom IDAS flavor of NXDN is ONLY 6.25KHz bandwidth. Kenwood's flavor of NXDN will do 6.25 or 12.5KHz bandwidth NXDN. An Icom will not work on a Kenwood system that is running in 12.5KHz bandwidth digital NXDN mode.
My system is on 800MHz, so until Icom starts producing 800MHz IDAS gear, I'll never be able to try it.
I do have full Kenwood manuals, service manuals, FPRG, CPI and FUNC documentation for all the NexEdge equipment if you need something specific looked up on the Kenwood side.
