Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Kenwood's TK-480's. I was given one today and wondering if it could be used on calgary's trunked systems at all.

Yeah....I was going through the owners manual today, and that's what it seems like. I'll take it to a buddy who's played with them a bit and see what he can do. He's said there is a chance....wink wink. lol

LOL....I already had it apart. But to clean it....night and day difference. When the buddy gave it to me, it was covered in years of dirt and grime. I took it apart and everything that wasn't electronic, got a bath in hot water/dish soap and a good scrubbing! It looks good now.

I should probably find a battery charger for it...right now, it's stone dead. Won't turn on at all.
