I recently found an RZ1..descent price,,Good looking radio...Like the DIN size, the Coverage for a mobile receiver..100 channels is fine for my needs..

Is there a descent NMO mount antenna I can use for HF coverage..

Ideas about a noise supression...automotive humm issues..

Any recomendations regarding this radio in general?..

Any and all help is warmly welcomed!

Been told pretty much a TV tuner in a box with an up converter for shortwave similar to the Icom R100 and Shinwa SR001. Lowest that I have seen for NMO is 25Mhz, they make a NMO to 3/8 24 adapter and could use ham sticks.

Could try chokes on fuel pump wires and other motors, dash clusters and Nav radio displays put out lots of noise now need to get antenna as far away as possible.

These radios were regarded for only the big guns type shortwave and lacking in selectivity and sensitivity for utility stuff. I think the AOR AR3000A or AR8600 is a better radio for this size class.
