Hey I Just Modified my TH-F6a does anyone notice something Sensitity being messed up or ok i just did it and i sent it in to get it tested and said it was messed up

You would like to know what? That you shouldn't modify radios to do things they were not designed for and are not FCC type accepted for? Now you know.

No it is not against the law but you can't TX on those freqs

So just what mods did you have to do to make it receive out of the ham band?

Why even do it if you can't use it. Let alone, do you have an amatuer radio call sign to use the radio?

The only thing the mod does is open up the transmit frequencies, it doesn't open up the receive frequencies because the THF6A is already a wide band receiver that doesn't receive the cell band's like all radio's made for the us market.

i swear ive read that doing stuff like this is something worthy of a felony charge or a very nasty fine.


do these forums have a reporting rule about things like illegal activity being told to members? cuz if so, it needs to be brought to attention to the admins
