Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

    If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

    To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hi, does anyone know the pin out diagram for the 6 pin molex connector on the back of the kenwood tk-7150. I'm trying to install the ignition sense cable but can't find which pin it should connect to. Thanks.

Yea, but it will cost you big time!

Looking at the back of the radio, at the 6pin molex;

Left pin column bottom to top, pins 1, 2, 3
Right pin column bottom to top, pins 4, 5, 6

Ignition sense is pin 1
Internal speaker - wire jumper in place pins 5 and 6
External speaker - remove jumper, speaker wires in pins 4 and 5

You don't really need ignition sense unless you are going to use horn alert or
timed power off. The radio will remember it's on/off state when the main power wire
is removed and reconnected.

Pins 2 and 3 are for speaker output "B"

This is used for auxillary speaker when public address is programmed in software and switches to these pins when PA button is pressed.

Bummer is you need option board for it to work...

Now the DB-25 connector is where the juicy stuff is...
