Kenwood TM-261A Transmitting problem

Hi All, I accidentally installed a faulty transmission line cable between my TM-261 and my power meter (my antenna was connected to the output of the power meter) and of course it didn't work so I replaced it with the original cable, but now I have no transmitter output. Is it possible that the faulty cable has fried my output module? I always thought there was a safety circuit that prevented damage to the transmitter if you accidentally keyed up with no antenna or faulty antenna.

I hope there is an easy solution to this problem. Thanks

P.S. the defective cable had an intermittent open on the shield

Never mind, it healed itself.
