- In order to receive stations, you must set the squelch to "0". Yes, that means you will hear static unless you're using ctcss
- Even with the squelch set to zero and carrier squelch, It only receives stations when set to narrowband. On ham repeaters running wide, this translates to very low audio.
- Clicking noise coming through the speaker when tuning the dial. Sounds like playing cards on bicycle spokes.
- Radio mysteriously going into reverse ("R") for no apparent reason when turning the ch selector knob.
A full reset didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?
