Looking for some guidance from those of you using DMR. I got my digital ID and am looking at these 2 models for DMR. There are DMR-MARC, Brandmeister and Fusion sites in my area, so I’m not locked into one or the other. Can both models be programmed for DMR and BM?

Nope. The TM-D710GA is an analog FM radio with APRS. The FTM-400XDR is an APRS radio with Yaesu System Fusion C4FM digital. Neither of these are compatible with "DMR" aka SCHOOL BUS radios or anything related.

You'll need to look for a DMR radio.

^ What he said.

Or be willing to invest in one of these openSPOT3 – SharkRF ,which would allow you to do various digital modes, (including DMR) with the FTM-400XDR. However it will not work with the TM-D710GA, because it is an analog only radio.

Thanks for confirming what I had suspected, but needed more expertise from some with more knowledge on this subject. Appreciate the feedback. 73’s
