I picked up (another) PRO2004 in auction and it worked OK but was pretty deaf. All it took was cleaning of the attenuator switch and it's back to life. It's got the usual mods for CMT, 400 channels and what looks like a discriminator tap.
Most interesting is this module on the back of the keypad, it's labeled KEY RESEARCH MODEL PS 90. I found out that this is a search & store add on. There's a DIP switch that I'm guessing determines the number of memory channels it will fill as it finds active frequencies. I cleared all memories off the scanner and did a limit search in the VHF high band. A couple hours later I stopped the search and checked all memories and there was nothing saved, I did hear traffic while it was searching though.
Anybody familiar with this unit and how it operates?

Nice to see some active chatter about the old rigs, 73!
