Be careful scanning around Truman Annex. A (Chinese) guy got nabbed taking pictures of the antennas a while back. I think he went past a fence. Still there are sensitive ops there. I would love to see inside, just not the Brig,

156.6 - Just regular old marine ch.12 there. The Weather Service asks for reports from ships at sea to augment their observations; on rare occasions someone actually replies.

170.4375 - I just tuned in frequencies +/- 50KC around that center and just got broadband noise on a Uniden 996T in Old Town. I'm not sure it's P25, but the scanner couldn't do anything with it. It might be that old link to the National Park Service radio system on Dry Tortugas.

I remember years ago a phone patch link to Dry Tortugas. There was so very much I could receive with a simple discone and preamp from Miami.

Yes, its part of their NAC 200 wide area system that has been posted here, which is 100% encrypted as well.

although uncommon, I have heard them in the clear (usually it is the mobile running clear, base encrypted) here in central florida. YMMV. Agree that it's 95+% Encrytped.
