KHP Franklin County

I recently moved to Franklin County and can't seem to hear any KHP activity here. I received Troop A activity on the JoCo trunked system, but have all the State of Kansas trunk system programmed in and have yet to hear any Franklin County KHP activity.

Any ideas?

All I can suggest is to double check and make sure you have the frequencies for the Waverly site programmed correctly. You should be hearing them.

Make sure you have the Troop B, Zone E talkgroup programmed in. That is the talkgroup the Franklin County Troopers use. The Lawrence Troopers also use that talkgroup. It might help to have the Waverly tower, Douglas county tower, Miami, and Johnson county towers programmed in. All are on the new digital system.

They often use the Miami and Douglas towers. There are two assigned to the county and one more in the academy right now that should be stationed here when he gets out.

Make sure you have those two towers in the radio as well as the Sheriff's Office frequency. They often go through the County dispatch as well.
