Has anyone heard radio traffic on any of the KHP zone talkgroups? I live in Maize and have monitored the Troop F zone talkgroups and have never heard a thing. Thanks in advance.

There are talkgroups for KHP on the Sedgwick County and KSICS state trunked systems. Have you checked both?

I could be wrong, I think the OP, was asking about these talk groups in Troop F.

I've been trying to figure this out for years.

Broadcastify uses these 2 talkgroups on the KSICS system for KHP:

31413aDKHP Troop F-1DispatchLaw Dispatch
31513bDKHP Troop F-2Dispatch 2Law Dispatch

I may have misread the thread. I don't know if the OP is having problems receiving KHP or just the zone talkgroups. I am a little too far out of range to check the zones. They are probably used very seldom.

As you've observed, KHP across the state rarely utilizes their tertiary and beyond talk groups.

For example, KHP Troop A in the KC area is predominately on MARRS KHP A1 (31501) and MARRS KHP A1 T/A (31502).

MARRS KHP A1 T/A (31502) does not come over JoCo, WyCo, or any other KSICS site, whereas MARRS KHP A1 (31501) comes over KSICS on TG 1199.

I legitimately have not seen usage on KSICS Zone talk groups - possibly since I began monitoring the JoCo/WyCo KSICS site.

So if there's a subsystem to KSICS or another system where an agency is, there's a chance that their radios are on that.

Thank you for everyone's reply. One other question in relation has anyone heard any traffic on the simplex KHP/KDOT state frequencies?

853.8375WPDH550M331 DPL

855.9625WNVF976M331 DPL

In Oklahoma the OHP uses their simplex 855.9875 PL 77.0 for car to car and speed enforcement with their airplane unit. They call it OHP direct. I was just curious if KHP might do the same. Thank you again.

B,C,H, and G are used extensively on the KSICS system. B1 is North and B2 is the south, same with H down around Emporia. I was hearing one of their OPS channels that was encrypted a bit ago. A dispatch side is simulcast on KSICS but you don't hear the mobiles if they are on the JOCO MARRS system. You could proabably pick up the Franklin Wellsville site quite a way into JoCo. There is always KHP traffic on that it seems.

I've been monitoring these channels, I keep getting hits on 853.8375 however, it appears to be encrypted.

I hear it in Reno County all the time. Well at least that is how it’s programmed into my radio and thought it was correct ? The units call dispatch “Wichita” and all are very clear audio and heard daily but I don’t pick up anything outside this county yet I do have all surrounding counties programmed into the radio if and when I am in those areas to listen. ( radio shack pro-18 handheld )
