I have went to the Kansas Interoperable page to locate any other frequencies for JO & WYCO that I may have missed. I found a list of digital frequecies that were in Mission & Olathe. I went on this search because I can't seem to obtain the KHP traffic that I suppose I hear streaming through on "Johnson County Public Safety" streams.

I programmed my scanner with the Johnson County P25 frequencies and put KHP's IDs in there but I have not received any traffic from these groups.

I am wondering if ther is something I may have missed. If there is someone that could kindly guide me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, KHP is still using the Johnson County analog trunked system for metro radio traffic- they also use some talkgroups on the KCK analog trunked system. Troop A P-25 is only regularly used by the troopers assigned to Leavenworth and Miami counties.

Thanks for the info

I want to thank you for your information. Right before I received your reply, I went into the Johnson County 800 mhz listings and found exactly what you were talking about. Now I am receiving KHP talk real well. I have found that because the KC metro area has a number of counties and cities within it's circumference, you really have to dig sometimes. For example, I had been looking for North Kansas City's public safety frequencies for a while. I was thinking that it wasn't posted. But upon further investigation, I found that North Kansas City is actually a Cass County city and not Jackson County. I thought that since it was like right across the river it would naturally be apart of Jackson County. Point is: You just have to dig and you'll find it eventually.

The river IS the county line, but you know that now. <g>

In case you're looking for Riverside or Parkville, they are in Platte county. The point being that there are a number of county lines pretty close together right there.
