Hello! I hope everyone is doing well and is safe during this pandemic. On another lighter note, recently, I invested in my first base station. It's not one of the top brands, but I think it will serve the purpose. This was purchased as a kit from Buy Two Way Radios (Ham Radio Starter Kit - Mobile/Base Station).

Kit Contents:
  • The Wouxun KG-UV920P-A Dual Band UHF/VHF Base/Mobile Amateur Radio
  • Wouxun SPS30WIN 30A Switching Power Supply
  • Tram 1100 Quarter Wave Magnet Kit (12 ft. / UHF / 136-512 MHz)
  • Wouxun Mobile Radio USB Programming Cable

Be blessed and 73!

There is something about new equipment, attached to a new antenna, with a hearty ham radio bug bite that always makes it fun.

Go for it.

Nice start up. Keep us posted as you change your setup over time

Will do; I started with a listening post years before I got my ham license. Then I got my GMRS license, purchased two HTs for that. Then, I got my ham ticket, purchased four HTs and, now, a base station!
