KICK 70s AM station

[KICK1340AM]

Anyone remember KICK AM 1340 rock station out of Springfield Missouri in the early 70s? My Father in law was a DJ there for a few years before going to KINA in Kansas. He had the “Steve Schuchman show.” He loved radio and was great at it and being an engineer and building anything he could think of.

Unfortunately he passed early when he was 38. I wish I had more stories, memories and /or photos of his time on the radio. I know it was a long time ago. I’ve been able to listen to some clips of KICK back then.

I did a quick search on www.worldradiohistory.com and came up empty searching for either KICK or KINA. If anyone has anything about those stations, Dave Gleason will.

Thanks for the help! I know it was a long time ago. I wasn’t even born until 83 myself haha but I have enjoyed trying to find history on these stations that my Father in law DJ’d at for some years. I hope Dave Gleason sees this and can maybe help!
