Bad idea! Probably a pilot with some kids that found the transceiver!
Knowing aviation, they'll probably will not really do much about it, as they can't really (unless they know who and or where source is), unless it happens again. That'd be big big trouble if it happens again and they find out a location or person, of course depending on the frequency it was on. Still a no-no either way!
Earlier tonight (3 Dec 11), in the Anniston, AL, area I heard what sounded like kids playing around on 123.450MHz. Went on for a good 15 to 20 minutes or so...
