There was some discussion on here a few months back about P25 VHF being used at Kingston Pen. Maybe this belongs to them....

Database clearly shows Kingston PD running on 142.0650Mhz with encrypted P25.

You should also hear 142.8150Mhz being used as well.

I'm here a lot
Looks like another instance of American band plan read-out on the display, since it's showing .0625

142.065 P25 encrypted. Is this Secondary Channel used by Kingston Police in big events or tactical responses like the Queens U party
142.815 is the main dispatch channel (p25 encrpyted) as well

Is it possible you somehow picked up 142.065. Kingston has a couple towers, with repeater links for both frequencies from pittsburg twp to
western edge with loyalist township. There is more traffic on .815.

How strong was the signal? Possible overload or american band plan as stated

Did u get a NAC on it.

No Kingston Pen is not using it. They are 151.805 p25 in the clear.

Interesting guys thanks very much for all the replies. I'm using a PSR-500 it's a great unit. The signal is very strong I'm close to downtown. To bad that the KPD are encrypted.
