Hello,

While installing an outdoor antenna for my scanner, I kinked my lmr-400 coax cable. The cable is about 70 feet long. Should I be concerned about the impedance change even though I will only use the antenna for scanning? I could easily cut the bad part out and fit in some connectors. Should I bother?

Have you tried it? What's the worse that can happen? Nothing will blow up if you try it.

I would straighten it, wrap some electrical tape over the spot to make sure it's sturdy and won't kink again on it's own, then forget about it. But that's just me.
