• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hi,
Anyone using one of these radios? Any comments on,likes-dislikes about the radio. I heard that the software is not compatible with Windows 8. Does it work with Windows 7? It seems like a nice radio for DMR.
Thanks
Bill

Yes, the software works for Windows 7. Not sure if it works on Windows 8.

Hello,

The software did not work in windows 8 I think it is a driver problem.

I bought my DP-770 on 409shop website but I did not found any accessories for it, I need a earpiece and a battery. If someone know a shop who sell them.

I received a DP770 earlier today. The software that I received from the seller works for me on my Windows 8.1 laptop. Now if I could just figure out how to actually use the software to program the thing, I'd be good to go. Tried entering 5 frequencies/channels, for receive only, into the software, but when I wrote to the radio, it looks like only 1 freq made the trip. When I get into channel mode, it shows CH 1/1 instead of CH 1/5. Thing was giving me a headache, so I had to give up for the day.

Interesting, I looked on 409Shop and I can't find it listed anywhere.

Do you know of any other HK sellers?

Cheers,
Boat

You can also contact Wayne Grimm at Kirisun America for a short while at this address.
Wayne.Grimm@szkirisun.com

He is leaving at the end of September. He can probably steer you to someone who can help you regardless as he's the President of Kirisun in the U.S.

He's been very helpful for me and even sent me latest firmware and software today. 3.17.078 and 1.91

I guess you have solved the puzzle by now, but might be helpful for other folks -- what you have to do is just to attach these channels into one of the Zones and you will get access to them channels.

I also have a question -- does anyone have the actual Windows 8/10 driver? Kirisun pushes me to the dealer and the latter is only able to provide me with a WinXP one. So I was thinking whether I am not able to install the drivers correctly or why otherwise Kirisun doesn't give the drivers away? Could anyone share the driver with me?
