Hello. I am looking for any information on the Knoebel's frequencies. May go there for an end of summer trip and would be interested in the EMS channel at the park. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Funny you should post this now. I just got back from
Knoebel's last weekend. I bring my Baofengs every year
so we can all keep in contact with each other. This year
I did do some scanning and really got nothing but kids
on their bubble packs, a lot of inaudible comms, and static.
I tried using GMRS channels but the number of kids playing
with radios just got to my very last nerve, so we changed
to MURS channels. Believe it or not, I got much of the same
thing. Although taboo, I free banded in the GMRS range
for our comms.
At one point I thought I did hear the EMS people but by the
time I got my radio out, it had far scanned away.
In any event, enjoy your trip. Advice: in the event of extremely
heavy rain, run for the parking lot and leave the park. We were there
during the flash flood (last week of July). A 1 hour heavy rain had the
water level up to the bottom of the bridge. That's about 5 - 6 feet!

Any MotoTRBO Information?

Last i heard Knoebels moved to a MotoTRBO trunked system this year

Does anyone have more information on this switch, such as which frequencies are actually in use and whether or not it's trunked?

I can confirm that as of last year I was able to monitor the park with my PSR-500 but this year when I went (mid-July) I didn't pick up any transmissions, though the parking lot attendant radios were receiving lots of stuff. If it went MotoTRBO, that would explain why the PSR-500 didn't pick them up.

I recently picked up a TRX-1 and I'm headed back to Knoebels towards the end of August. I'll see if I can pick up some stuff (maybe I'll set it up to record all the conversations and just leave it on in my bag as I walk around).

Knoebels went Trbo

They have made the switch to Mototrbo. They seem to be using some of the old frequencies from their old analog system. I was there in late July 2017 and tried listening and could tell right away they updated their communications. They also raised the prices of the rides again, probably to help pay for the new Motorola radios they are all carrying. ( The pioneer train is now $1.75 a ride)
I decoded just about their whole system with the freqs and PL/DPL's over the last 2 visits before they made the change. I also noticed they had a new license with a bunch of frequencies they weren't actively using yet. I figured they were making plans to make an update soon. Is far as I can tell they did make the change to turbo but they used the existing frequencies from the analog system. I can't find the license with the never used frequencies anymore.
I'm going again later this year. This time I am bringing my hacked MD380 VHF DMR radio. Hopefully I will be able to share some information with you all when I get back. (It all depends on how much time my kids will give me to work on it).
