As far as I can tell, the whole county is still using analog only, mostly VHF. Warsaw PD uses UHF I believe. I asked a county commissioner when they plan on switching to the SAFE-T system, and he said that "they hope this trend will blow over". I had to kinda laugh to myself. I think that it is a bit more than a trend. When I mentioned that the whole idea was to be interoperable with other agencies, he just laughed it off as if nothing would ever happen that they needed interoperability. He also said that they'll just use ILEEN as their interoperable channel. I thought to myself, how can you use ILEEN when everyone else will be digital? Some people have to learn the hard way I guess.
