Have been listening to KSAT12, and I hear them tell their air unit to switch to Elmendorf Freq 4 alot. Have tried searching for it at that time, but can't get them. Not sure if I am searching the wrong band, UHF, assuming since they start out in UHF, or am I too far out to hear it.

Terrian up around Blanco/Bitters and 1604 doesn't make for the best listening with an rubber duck antenna

Anybody been able to identify that freq?

Not sure, when I worked in media and news gathering up until the late 80's, KSAT-12's newsroom repeaters were on 450.5125 and 450.6125 on their Kline 500 foot self-supporter located on St. Mary's St in downtown SA. The Elmendorf site is their actual transmitter location, but Elmendorf may be referring to the LTR radio system (UHF?) As a lot of the two-way vendors refer to their systems by site. IE Elmendorf site as referred to on radios who's airtime is sold by Industrial Communications. Oddly, All Points Communications/Kennedy/Communications Professionals/Pittencrief and whomever else is part of that conglomerate also have "Elmendorf" listed as a site designator on their display enabled 1250LSs.
