I traveled through Reno Co. last weekend and heard what sounded like data on 867.550. I also heard some voice testing on 866.400 with people doing that “can you hear me now thing”. I don’t know if it was trunking or not, as I didn’t have my trunking scanner with me. I was driving and just locked out the noise.
Somebody down in that area might try to listen in to find out more.

I wonder if they may be trying to get something up and running to show off the new system in time for the State Fair.

Or maybe it has to do with the Seniors Golf Tournament next week.

Just a couple of wild "shots in the dark".

Would make sense for the fair especially if their still doing voice testing, etc. This would give them a few more weeks to play with it and make sure it's operational.

State Fair isn't until September. Did you hear the traffic in analog or digital?

Maybe the attached file can shed some light on this subject?
