The 154.665 is the mobile extender..... in order to hear the "A" and "B" conversations you need to program the freqs for KSP Post 2 in your area into a digital capable scanner.... let me know if I can help get you going.

Sorry, at my age I am lucky sometimes my fingers still work....

Punch these freqs into your scanner and see what happens.... if you have a PRO 96 enter these six as "FM" and the scanner will decode the transmission....

453.51250 Dispatch Farmington - Graves County Transmitter
460.06250 Alternate Farmington - Graves County Transmitter
453.48750 Model - Trigg County Transmitter
453.66250 Model - Trigg County Transmitter
460.28750 Dispatch Montgomery - Lyon County Transmitter
460.11250 Alternate Montgomery - Lyon County Transmitter

Except for 154.665 and 154.920 you will only hear these if you are fairly close to the car transmitting....
154.66500 186.2 PL 1 Mobile Extenders
153.92000 186.2 PL 2 Tactical Operations
154.92000 162.2 PL 3 Portable Repeater
155.37000 Tactical - Intercity Mutual Aid
155.47500 Tactical - Kentucky Law Enforcement Emergency Net (KLEEN) FM

You might hear activity on the KVE freq.....
453.30000 162.2 PL Vehicle Enforcement FM

If you stay within Calloway County these should work, if you are mobile let me know, there are others you should hear as well....

A little more information . . . I couldn't tell what kind of radio you heard the 154.665 on. If it was an older scanner, you can not monitor KSP's UHF channels because they are now digitial. So if you program in the above frequencies and cannot hear anything, that may be the reason why.

The 154.665 channel is the mobile extender used so a trooper can get the full strength of his vehicle radio when he/she is away from it. While the vehicle radio is digital, the mobile extender is still analog.

"A" channel is more or less a "chit-chat" channel used for lengthy conversations, keeping them off the "B" channel, which is the post's dispatch channel.
