KSP DIGITAL ENCRYPTED

I heard from a SGT from Post 10 Harlan that they may soon go full time encrypt anyone got any other info on this ?? Just a heads up from him

I was in east Tennessee last week and listened to KSP-Harlan and never heard any encryption at all. From what I heard, I can't imagine why they would need to encrypt 24/7. Very generic radio traffic.

never heard ksp yet do they sound good and stuff ?? alot of traffic on them ??

i met when they switch to 800 mhz they are suppose to go encrypted but i dont know!!

not really any good things to hear on ksp anymore since the digital switch ???

analog was great to hear esp. harlan post and london where i lived tons of stuff went on. harlan ksp post is busy

Hello all, Just moved recently to Mich. from Knox co. Ky. I can verify Post 10 and 11 stayed very busy. I knew a couple of troopers from the Harlan post. They never mentioned hearing about encryption. They seemed to suggest switching to 800mhz wasn't happening anytime soon either. I hope they stay as they are. I really miss the Knox/Laurel area. Oh well, will have to wait and see.... Take care and Happy New Year!!

I miss that area also alot of nice people there and alot of scanner action actually my fun was police chases which happened almost every day alot of them happened with the laurel co sheriff dept and london city pd.

the tri county area for post 11 has a special response team or special crimes team when something happens in the 11 post area whitley, laurel clay, pulask,i rockcastle, mccreary co area they send 1 detective from each agency london pd laurel so and ksp to the scene. ex. murder, armed robbery, etc

Also before I left Knox county elected a new sheriff who actually hired more deputies and stayed open 24/7 with a 911 center and enforced laws. before he got in the sheriff dept was open 9-5 done court duties and ksp had to do ALL enforcement now they work together i liked it when knox co sheriff started talking 24/7 and doing a real law enforcement job. more scanner excitement!!!
