trido: do you have the other freqs entered for sites further from you.... just wondering, i have noticed that sometimes i can receive a dispatch freq for post 12 that is three counties away and not the freq on a tower five miles from my house.... i entered local and nearby freqs and now don't miss much at all....

Yes thats exact smae thing a tower maybe 10 miles I cant hear but most of the time the one about 20 plus miles I am some of the time.

I did one or twice a day hear the closer tower thats why I though it's power must be weak or some ant problem

if you have the time you might search in the range of the ksp freqs--roughly 453.100 to 460.7500--and, remembering the ksp unit numbers active in your area, see if they have switched freqs.... i haven't had that happen but i have noticed lately that a number of the freqs listed in the database for one post are used by nearby posts..... i am still trying to figure out the ksp system and how the new 800 systems they have licensed will plug into the mix... i'll ask around and see if anyone will talk about it....

Ok thanks now on 800 unless you have some new INFO I have been told by a retired KSP dispatcher those 800 freq are not and will not be for VOICE for KSP.
Thats what he said I think he said data only

roger... the intial plan was to use them for mdt's and special units (srt/drug interdiction, etc)... but some of the freq plans for east ky look a lot like local trunking systems for counties that might need to update but can't... i haven't programmed them into a radio yet...maybe afraid of what i will hear.... if i can get ananswer for your inital question i will let you know...
