L.A.F.D. Specific Channels

Hello;
I hope I’m in the right section to ask this question.
So I heard L.A.P.D. tonight Dispatch telling a fireman to switch to CITYWIDE channel 45. I could not seem to pick that up. Does anyone know the frequency for Channel 45?

There is no CITYWIDE 45 on the regular LAFD fire radios. It's Citywide Tac 3 on LAPD radios. It's possible the firefighter might have had a multi-band APX radio, but I don't think they are in regular circulation.

The fireman was on LAPD asking the LAPD Dispatch about citywide. I did not make an error in this post. There are too many people salivating while they wait for someone to make an error.

I saw STRS TG's 20630-20634 with LAFD ID's on them but couldn't nail anything down. 20630 and 20631 have other labels in the database as Griffith Park related which didn't make sense. Maybe they changed usage.

The LAFD does not use trunking on a daily basis. This system is still new to their radio. When the LAFD uses this system they call the channels exactly how they are labeled in the database. These are generally planned or special event use channels so there will most likely be no radio traffic having a unit switch to a specific TG.

Correct
i have not heard any traffic. Where exactly are LAFD?

LAFD does use the STRS system.

AirOps (TG160), Logistics (169) are regular users. Additionally, I have also heard the LAX crash crews (148) and investigators (157) and inspection (153&154) on the air with random activity.

In addition, major events like the recent civil protest saw activity on the trunked system.
