LA 501(c)3 Non-Profit Seeking Fire & Scanner Buffs

Hi Everyone - I represent LAIT911 Fire Corp, a Los Angeles non-profit that offers a mobile and desktop application similar to the Citizen app, but more of a philanthropic focus of keeping people safe during active emergencies.

Our incident analyst team (8 currently) monitors radio traffic using our online dashboard and provides context or emergency alerts to thousands of users in Los Angeles City. Our users have been using only our web dashboard and SMS/Phone call alerting for the past two years, but we are releasing our highly requested mobile app next week. And with that said, we desperately need additional helping hands for the increased traffic.

Our volunteer analysts are responsible for:

• Determining when to send emergency alerts for high-risk situations
• Associating radio transmissions with active incidents
• Creating new incidents based on emergency dispatch live audio feeds
• Providing additional context to existing incidents from data gathered via emergency radio, social media, or independent research
• Monitoring and verifying user-contributed data

All resources are available through our online dashboard, automatically synced with live 911 CAD data, and we're a fairly easy-going volunteer team. Good, easy-way to give back to the community while doing something you love.
