Try listening to LA-Rics. There should be numerous sheriff stations using talkgroups for various protest throughout the county. Mostly encrypted but some are in the clear also.

Stuff noted today:

OC using their UHF access channel (460.525) for protest in Huntington Beach

Protest in Hollywood/Cahuenga Pass worked on LAPD West Tac-2

Event in Marina/Playa Vista on LASD Marina LTAC

Protest South LA/Crenshaw area worked on LAPD Southwest Simplex and South Bureau Tac1

LASD have events ongoing using M/A 5, S-TAC Central and S-TAC South but have not had the time to work out the locations. Heard that LASD M/A 4 was also reserved for an event in Pomona today

Noted multiple units doing radio checks NIFOG 8TAC92 852.0125 with mention of getting the horses ready

LASD S-TAC Central used for an event in Temple City.

Also a small protest at Trump Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes on Lomita L-TAC

Another oddball use: Ventura using Federal Agencies UHF interop 406.8 for an event in their downtown area.

I've been hearing a lot this last week on Mutual Aid 3 them calling for all Civic Center units to switch to "Zone 14". Any ideas what Zone 14?

A little outside the LA area but noteworthy, I was in Palm Springs this weekend and P.S.P.D was using TG 1027 in the clear on ERICA to monitor protestors in their downtown. They were referring to the channel as "Events".

They are probably referring to the settings on their radios. They are broken down in zones.
It’s their civic center tactical everyday channel. County services has channels for The hospitals and also a channel for the downtown civic center units (HOA, HOJ, HOR)
It’s a conventional analog channel. They also have a talkgroup on their zone for county services using LA-RICS.

Yes.....those channels are all in Zone 14. There are 16 channels in Zone 14.

Might want to listen to SCC ACC and LARICS (EVENT-1) regarding protestors at county jail hitting buses, requesting multiple stations to respond... now 4:50 pm
