Hi all
A family friend is relocating to La Crosse very soon. I'm wondering what scanner I should take when I go to visit her?

The primary choices are
Radio shack Pro96
Radio shack Pro164

Secondary choice, and I'd need help with this one. .

GRE/PSR 500.

I would prefer taking the Pro96 as I've set aside banks I use for road trips with that scanner.

Is anything there digital that's in the clear worth monitoring?
Is there any military activity that my PSR 500 or Pro96 would be worth monitoring?

Take them all :)
La Crosse is mostly analog, the city is on Motorola 800 MHz analog trunking.
There is some P25 digital in the area including Xcel Energy, the MN ARMER system across the river, and Fort McCoy to the east.
Military activity around Fort McCoy to the east.
