LA Marathon is here again.
The popular course will snake its way from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica through Silver Lake, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood before reaching Santa Monica.
As usual this will be a multi jurisdictional affair with lots of related radio activity.
Following has been noted in previous years:
LAPD – several bureau/citywide tacs
LAFD - Multiple tac
LA City - DOT, Street Services, and General services active on 800Mhz trunked systems
LACo Sheriff – likely mix of C-Tac, A-Tac’s and Mutual Aid channels
LACo Fire - both UHF and VHF tacs
West Hollywood – Public works
Beverly Hills PD
Beverly Hills Fire
Beverly Hills Public Works & EOC
Santa Monica Police (drop encryption for the day)
Santa Monica Fire
Santa Monica public works
ICIS might again lend the marathon organizers a TG for course communication.
Also Air to Air - 123.025 - normally a chopper with callsign "marathon 1" is used
Various media
Previously years have also found organizers using media channels 450.xxx for coordination (450.925 PL 67.0 and 450.675 PL 131.8)
Amateur radio volunteers
Here is a map of the planned course:

With warm forecast temperatures I suspect we will have higher than normal medical calls.
