LA/OC Military Air

If you live in the LA County area, do you pick up any FM/AM military air activity? If so what are some good frequencies? I'm a little east of LA and haven't been able to pick up much except for on HF. I do have a good outdoor antenna so my setup is capable of monitoring them.

Thanks Mick, I'm going to be out there next month and I was wondering the same thing. Will be at the Marriot in Cyprus which I see is literally right off the end of the runway at some military airfield.

Gotta get started loading the '396!

That would be Los Alamitos Army Airfield (KSLI). Airnav.com has a pretty good list for them. They are pretty quiet for the most part. A lot of civil helos and NG Blackhawks doing pattern and PAR work, but an occasional surprise is not out of the question.......
