La Verne Fire Dispatch change to LA County coming

All that is required is final approval from the County Board of Sups and La Verne City Council is all that is left before fire dispatching duties are taken from their PD and contracted out to County Fire.

La Verne would follow La Habra Heights and Vernon as the third local city contracting for fire dispatching from the County. Vernon dropped Verdugo and switched dispatch duties to the county in preparation and anticipation of the rest of their fire services being absorbed by County Fire next year.

The change is expected to occur on Jan 1.

Station 1 has E 761 and RA 761 and Sta. 2 on Wheeler has E762. Sta. 3 on Esperanza is currently closed due to the inability to staff the station due to a large number of resignations to work elsewhere. (Labor issues)
