"they just never do any enforcement."

This is why LADS should be listed as nationwide in both Canada and the usa !

But they are not nationwide assignments... If you feel like it, pull each and every license off virtual license you searched and see how many of them are authorized to use 158.9400 in any place but BC... With out doing it, I know already it is zero.

Well the db is supposed to reflect actual use... Which means nationwide in 2 countries...

It also should respect legalities of proper use of the radio spectrum. Some of us don't want what we can legally use be brought down into the sewer like CB radio was years ago. Regardless if a number of people know and ignore the rules, or are ignorant of the rules.

So if it isnt legal it isnt actually happening ???

Well that is the CB thinking. Because it is happening doesn't mean it is right! But if one lacks the respect to do things the right way on the radio spectrum, as I stated, we become the CB of VHF [or radio spectrum in general]. But I guess one can legally troll if one wants to. Doesn't change facts that it is not legal.

Well what i am arguing is that those lad channels as well as others are being used all over canada as well as in the usa so y shouldnt they be listed as nationwide in both countries regardless of the fact that they are being used illegally for the most part ? We list expired radio systems as well as others in the db that have never had a callsign...

Because we should only be showing legal use of these frequencies. As stated, we shouldn't promote CB like use of VHF/UHF. There are too many legit users of these frequencies in Canada. It should be up to the illegal operators to use their frequencies for which they are licensed and have approval to use. And with your way of thinking, if a number of people bought and statred using Fire, EMS and Police frequencies, this would be ok and should be listed here. I think not. And as has been stated a number of times, some of these frequencies are already used by fire, ems and RCMP in Canada.

How does listing freqs that are already in widespread illegal use promote the illegal use of those freqs ? The genie is already out of the bottle to never get stuffed back in.... Its just true information...

Spin it anyway you like but it is not proper period and should not be promoted. Or we may as well open up the radio spectrum to anyone's use on any frequency. That is not the purpose of the LADD or resource frequencies. And I think you statement about illegal use promote the illegal use of those freqs. just explained it loud and clear.

I think you are the one who is trying to spin this issue until it doesnt exist in your own mind... Yet the illegal radio usage will still be going on and should be listed in the db under nationwide freqs whether you agree with the usage or not...

I would tend to agree that they should be listed as nationwide in Canada.

Having driven from Ontario out west - I can assure you that these LADD channels are quite active everywhere. I listened to two truckers talking on LADD 2 for the better part of 2 hours through northern Ontario...

Only Global Database Administrators have access to Country wide areas of the database.

If someone can prepare a submission, I'm sure we can get it taken care of by one of them.

Thanks :)

So we should list illegal activities so they can interfere with more licensed users. If I squatted in your house, does that mean I own it?
