I have an rs pro 96 and am picking up pupd, tcsd and emt but next to no lpd. i got chatter from the lpd data talk id(31056)i have the control channels and the other freq. programmed in.any one else not getting much chatter?i would also like to meet some local scanners to learn how to effectively get the most of my scanner start learning ham.

Not much on scanner last couple days.. Wait til New Years night. LOL I hear most stuff on Freq. 867.7125

cool.thnx.i put all the fire /emergency in one and police in another.just experimenting with things.what kinda scanner do you have?

Most of the LPD traffic is dispatched by computer aided dispatch (ADL). Any breaking emergency may go out on the voice dispatch, but not always. Sometimes the computers or modems in the car won't work, and you will here a request for voice dispatch. I find it very nice, as only the really hot incidents get up to the voice level, and the routine, low priority, dispatches aren't heard. If you listen to the LFD, LPD, and EMS, you will not miss much. If you listen to PUPD, you will get every parking ticket issued.
