The system has not yet gone digital….and will not for some time. There are some units that will be field testing the digital system in the near future but operations for all Lafayette Communications District subscribers will remain on the current Type IIi system for at least the next 3 years.

The LPCD system will not be upgraded to digital at all. All Lafayette agencies are slated to join the LATIE system as soon as everything is in place. The current type II system will be patched and ran parallel untill all the older XTS3000's and below are off the system.
