What LAFD Station is nearest downtown? It says 9 is "Central City" on their website but I looked at it on Goolgle maps and it's very far away from downtown! ok thanks

nvm omg im so dumb! no. 9 is totally downtown lol
If "downtown" is arbitrarily but reasonably defined as the area bounded by the Harbor (SR 110), Hollywood (US 101), Santa Monica (I-10) freeways and the L.A. River, the "downtown" stations would be 3's, the "new" 4's, 9's, and 10's.

A while back the LAFD Blog carried an item and video about 9's, which is perennially the city's busiest station (50-60 runs a day), and said by some to be the busiest house in the country:
