Hello I am useing the GRE PSR 800 when I first got the scanner I could hear LCPD on the LAWIN. Now all I hear is a busy signal. I have tried updateing the scanner and the database and still a busy signal when they key up. Anyone have an ideas? Thanks for any help!

I suppose it's some kind of encryption but why would they use that on a dispatch channel? I hear no Lake Charles PD at all.

In addition to what is already posted, the "busy-signal" you hear on the PSR-800 is the signal it puts out whenever it encounters encryption. That beats hearing either the actual signal (painful to the ears) or nothing at all with maybe the letters ENC being displayed on the screen.

They screwed up lake Charles too

I was hoping one day to travel out there maybe would play with the scanner too. Where is our hero in Australia the one who promised us a "novel way" to decrypt ADP. We need you!

They were having problems with scanner listeners showing up to their scenes so the LCPD Admins decided to flip on the encryption since all of their radios came with the capabilities.
